Computers are the wave of the future. As education moves increasingly from the realms of books and papers to instructional technology, the use of ICT in schools help children to use all their senses to extract the information. With the vast use of internet, it has become essential for every student to have the knowledge of it and its tools to explore the unlimited ocean of knowledge which is on the web. As computers are a daily utility, they have gained immense importance in day to day life. Their increasing utility has made computer education the need of the day.

Our school has three modern IT labs with advanced infrastructure in terms of hardware and software to cater to the requirements of the students, teachers and curriculum.

The Senior Computer Lab of Shiva Shiksha Sadan is a place to venture into the IT world with the latest software technology and multimedia facility. It has more than 40 machines where in students of classes IX to XII are provided computer education. All the computers are connected in LAN using 48 ports switch. For internet surfing there is a Leased Line connection. For uninterrupted power supply all machines are connected to Online UPS. To introduce concepts in innovative manner Audio Visuals are installed in the Lab to grasp knowledge accurately and quickly, improving comprehension and retention. Internet facility , wired intranet, website, Mass E-Mail , SMS and E-groups create a backbone for effective communication.

Class IX –X

Computer education is compulsory for these classes. The department design its own syllabus (Based on CBSE pattern) for these classes. The syllabus has been designed by keeping in mind the today’s needs , in terms of computer Operating , Office S/w , Photo/ Audio/Video Editing Softwares, web page designing , networking, internet and applications, computer ethics and security.

Class XI-XII

At Senior secondary level we offers Informatics Practices (065) subject. To make senior students more prone to IT stress is given on project based learning and evaluation. Students interact through video conferencing, online chatting, uploading their presentation and movies etc.

The computer curriculum is updated from time to time in keeping with the emerging trends in the Information Technology.
To make Shivaitians more techno-savvy, TECHNOLOGY AWARENESS PROGRAMME has been started. Through this programme we aware our students for latest technology trends and use of technology in meaningful way. Students spend more time there exploring new technologies and also continuously strive to equip themselves with newer gadgets.
